Captions for TikTok, Reels and Shorts
On vertical video apps many people watch with the sound off and decide in a second whether to stay. Big captions with the spoken word highlighted make your video understandable even on mute.
Add captions nowBuilt for the vertical screen
CueSprint detects vertical video and places the captions above the area where TikTok, Reels and Shorts show the username, description and buttons. The Bottom preset puts the block about 22% above the lower edge so nothing covers it.
Text size is relative to the video's height, so it reads just as well at 720×1280 as at 1080×1920.
How to caption your vertical video
- Export your edited video from your favourite app (CapCut, Premiere, DaVinci, your phone's editor…).
- Open it in CueSprint. We check that it is 3 minutes or shorter and 1080p or lower.
- Wait a few seconds for the automatic transcript.
- Pick a style (Sprint is the TikTok favourite), adjust the position and fix any words.
- Download the MP4 and post it straight to the app.
Styles that work on social
Sprint uses white text with a thick black outline and the active word in yellow, readable over any background. Pill puts the active word inside a coloured capsule, great for branded videos. Bold Pop uses condensed capitals for short, punchy messages.
For talk-heavy clips, use 2 or 3 words per group: it is easier to follow than a full sentence.
Your content stays yours
Your video is not uploaded to our servers. We only send the audio to transcribe it and discard it as soon as we return the text. You can caption content you haven't published yet without worrying about leaks.
What video size do I need for TikTok?
TikTok, Reels and Shorts use vertical 9:16 video; 1080×1920 is the most common. CueSprint exports at the same resolution you open.
Are the captions part of the video?
Yes, they are burned into the picture, so they show on every app and device.
