Captions for YouTube videos
With CueSprint you can caption YouTube videos two ways: burning the captions into the video (ideal for Shorts and clips) or downloading an SRT file to upload to YouTube Studio.
Add captions nowBurned-in captions or an SRT file
Burned-in captions are part of the picture: they always show, in any player, and can carry the style and word highlight you choose. They are the best choice for Shorts.
An SRT file is uploaded separately in YouTube Studio (Subtitles → Add language → Upload file). Viewers can turn it on or off, and YouTube can use it to better understand your video.
For videos up to 3 minutes
CueSprint accepts videos up to 3 minutes (the maximum length of a YouTube Short) and up to 1080p, so it covers Shorts, Reels, TikToks, trailers and clips. Got a long video? First turn it into clips with ClipSprint, then caption each clip.
YouTube tips
- On horizontal videos, the Bottom preset keeps captions near the lower edge.
- For Shorts, use 2 or 3 words per group and a large size.
- Check names before exporting: automatic transcription can stumble on brands and surnames.
